When I attended Navy Radioman "A" school in Bainbridge MD in 1971, we
had several guys that volunteered for Beach Jumper duty. In layman's
terms, they volunteered to be the radio operators for Marines in Vietnam.
NO thank you! I went for Submarine duty...
