Tony, just one more thing.. I too would prefer FM analog over digital, although some people swear by digital, and I swear at it (hi hi). But for a few dollars more over FM, I would probably go with dual band FM/C4FM, The Yaesu FTM400 also has APRS, which can be fun, but it ain't cheap.. ;-) Curt K2CWM
