Building on what Tony says, by all means if you want to credit our club
score with your individual effort, please get on the list! Every contact
counts, and is welcome!
It turns out the ARRL club competition has categories.
Local is 10 or less within 35 miles, Medium is 50 or less and within a 175
mile circle.
We have 11 on the list now, so are in the medium category. The list can
change for every contest. So if you want in for today's contest, please
get added this morning - as rules say have to be on the list before the
contest starts, and Tony can only do it this morning!
Conversely, if you are already on the list, and are actually not going to
participate today, please email him to get off of the list for today's
contest, as it might change the category we are competing in.
Note that everyone operating outside of the clubhouse uses their own
callsign in this contest, not w2mmd.
The w2mmd callsign is reserved for those at the clubhouse, which will
submit a "multi-op" score for the w2mmd callsign, as a single entry for the
clubhouse transmitter's location.
Of course, even if you are not on the list, you are welcome to participate
and make contacts with anyone.
The main message is participate, and have fun!
The only reason for this email about lists and all that is to make sure
your score counts towards the club score if you want it to.
I'm in, and hope you will be too!
"see" you on air in the contest!
