All:
All participants in any ARRL radio contest who wish to participate and have
their score count toward the CLUB AGGREGATE SCORE, must be listed on the
club eligibility list that is on file with ARRL at the start of that
contest. This requires that the club contest chairman submit an up to date
list prior to the starting gun. For large contest clubs, this is
routinely done before the start of every ARRL contest in which that club
regularly participates. But for GCARC, not being a contest club, this kind
of participation is far more limited in frequency. At this time, there is
only one contest in which GCARC participates as a group, and that is the
ARRL January VHF Contest, which starts today at 1900z.
Anyone who is planning to participate in this contest, or thinks that they
might, should have their name added to the list. If you want to be added
to the list, you MUST email me this morning, as i plan to upload the
revised list at NOON TODAY. The ARRL will then send an email to the club's
designated correspondent, Jeff Garth, WB2ZBN, who will then acknowledge
that the list is valid. Those members on the list will be eligible for
that contest, and subsequent contests, until such time as the contest
chairman submits a new list. In order for the club to get credit for your
score, you must list the club's name as follows on your log submission:
Gloucester Co ARC It MUST be entered EXACTLY as shown, or your log
will not count for the club.
Here is the current list that is on file. If your call sign is on the
list, you do not need to contact me unless you want to be removed from the
list. If you want to be added to the list, you MUST contact me before Noon
today.
