Hi Bill.
If you don't want to be a member, I'm happy to personally refund your
money. The club shouldn't suffer. No one should feel ripped off.
I'm puzzled that you are referencing your service, yet you're wrong about
the First Amendment. You, of all people should have a strong command as I'm
sure you've taken an oath to support the constitution.
Let's read the first amendment, since some folks may want a refresher.
*Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or
prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech,
or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to
petition the Government for a redress of grievances.*
I understand and respect the sacrifices our service members make, but being
a veteran doesn't allow you to rewrite the Constitution.
Vinnie's rules don't violate the first amendment because GCARC is not a
government entity, and Vinnie is CERTAINLY not part of Congress. Only a
government entity or representative can violate a person's first amendment
rights.
Let’s keep politics out of radio, period.
