The ISS will be sending SSTV transmissions from now until 12/31. Unfortunately many of these passes are in the early morning but a few relatively high passes are during times when we might actually be awake to hear them. Here are the best times for each of the next few days. The freq is 145.800 FM and should be easily receivable with an HT on these passes. Of these I’ve marked the ones with elevation higher than 60 degrees – these are the best ones. If you want to try some others and don’t mind getting up early (sometimes REALLY early) check out https://heavens-above.com/PassSummary.aspx?satid=25544 for the rest of the passes.
12/26: 10:45 AM (good pass)
12:27: 9:57 AM
12/18: 9:10 AM
12/29: 9:59 AM
12/30: 9:11 AM (best pass)
12/31: 8:23 AM (good pass)
73 and Merry Christmas de Jon WB2MNF
