MAKE A NOTE TO VOTE

ARRL SOUTHEASTERN DIVISION DIRECTOR
In the past few weeks you have received campaign messages from candidates for 
Southeastern Division Director.  

One candidate does not ask for your opinions, doesn't say he will in the future, 
but professes to represent you.  Ask yourself: Have I been represented at ARRL?  
Each amateur should have a voice heard by the Board of Directors and Directors 
should respond to members and keep them informed of the issues.   If elected 
Director I will seek your input on matters coming before the Board. I will send 
you periodic newsletters and provide a Division website with information on 
decisions made at Board meetings that affect you  and activities within the 
division.  I will work to improve communication between Headquarters, the Board 
of Directors, and the ARRL members.  

One candidate says he will solicit your opinions via club presidents, but not 
all active hams belong to a club.  He lists no ARRL appointments, only ARES® 
involvement.  As Section Manager of Southern Florida I and the section staff 
were visible at hamfests and club events to gather comments and answer 
questions.  As Director I and the "staff" of Vice Director and Assistant 
Directors will be visible and listening.
