[FPARC] MINUTES OF SEPTEMBER MEETING

Well this is certainly turning into a hot topic. As both a member of the FPARC and an employee of Indian River Community College, I feel it my duty to caution the club. Since the Board of trustees of the college holds the license to WQCS and its tower, we must play nice. IRCC is a community organization and the administration would not take kindly to complaints of discrimination. If the club chooses to make rules governing the use of its repeater, might I suggest that these be drafted in writing and passed along to the manager of the radio station for his input. We have a good thing here on this tower and I would hate to see us lose it because of a complaint of discrimination. My opinion is any rules the club make should be backed by written regulations from a recognized authority such as the FCC or the ARRL.
