[FPARC] MINUTES OF APRIL MEETING

                    FORT PIERCE AMATEUR RADIO CLUB - MINUTES -  4/12/2006
 
      The regular monthly meeting of the Fort Pierce Amateur Radio Club was chaired by Vice President, Keith Wood, W4RPE. Attendance was 12. Visiting was ED, KF4NUR.
 
      MINUTES: The minutes of the March meeting were approved after corrections, after motion by Bill, N4XEO, seconded by Paul, KG4MCE.
 
      TREASURY: Treasurer Carl, KF4KCI’s report was approved as distributed after motion by Bill, N4XEO, seconded by Kevin, W4KKW.
 
                          Total funds:                 (designated for WQCS: $45)                    $2847.00.
 
                                                   OLD BUSINESS
      
      FIELD DAY:   Keith, W4RPE, asked for a hand raising from those who will be attending Field Day this year. The dates are: Friday, June 23 through Sunday, June 25.
 
      REPEATER: Ernie, KF4IHX, said the UHF repeater is ready for install. He said we just need to coordinate an install day with Joe, KD4BTD. Ernie said the cross-band link repeater set-up to link the FPARC and EOC repeaters together is almost ready.
 
      Pete, KS4SPW, told about our club setting up an FPARC club area at the MCARA Stuart Hamfest. He said it was a nice area to sit and visit, etc. He said we handed out our Hamfest flyers and offered tickets for sale.
 
                                                    NEW BUSINESS
      
      CLUB BANNER: Kevin, W4KKW,  passed around proofs for our new club banner.
 
      Kevin, W4KKW, asked to be reimbursed for another IRLP/ECHOLINK link radio that he bought on EBAY. The first donated radio has failed. Ernie, KF4IHX, made the motion, Bob, KC0KAC, seconded, and it passed. The group discussed some of the concerns and problems with the repeaters and linking radios.
 
       HAMFEST:    The group discussed sending Hamfest flyers soon. Maybe after next meeting we will stay to stuff envelopes.
 
      We had a short meeting to be followed by an IRLP/ECHOLINK demonstration by Kevin, W4KKW.
