A recent experience with a TDOA on a different frequency than the one
the antennas were cut for, was not very good.

We were using it about 10 or 15% higher in frequency than what the
whips were made for.  I was not going to cut them shorter just for
this occasion.  The antennas (magmounts) were spaced according to the
higher frequency.

On this occasion I never got a meaningful indication on the unit with
these antennas.

I am not sure whether the unit was at fault, or if it was because of
the frequency difference.  I meant to but did not have a chance to
investigate further.
