Nearest tracks to me, when I hear it from my house is about 45, maybe fifty
miles. From Carson City, tracks are between 50 and 75 miles away. I used
to hang out at the tracks, many years, never notice any CB antennas, never
read about trains using anything in the HF range except the Russian stuff
around 2 MHz FM.

I'll google the train system, sounds interesting.

Now that I think about it, I'll ask about that freq on a train list I am
also on.

Thanks for the heads up.

Kurt
