I was trying to Google this, to help figure this out, and I got a question for
you to help us figure this out with.
Were you anywhere near train tracks when you think you were near the
source of your signals? Reason I ask, beside the fact that there's all kinds
of CB and R/C traffic there on that frequency, I ran across one article, which
I cannot read, that is on the IEEE archives, that appears to discuss, in length,
the National Train Location System, or something similar to that. And they
transmit FSK FM on 27.255 MHz.
So obviously what you were listening to was NOT a train, but I suspect
it was some system that talks to the trains. Hence, my question.
