Without going into details on the crates of equipment I have for this freq
covering nearly five decades (some do DX or QSL, I do 27.255 MHz equipment),
this is a new one to me, I will check into it. I only have one type of
system that does this, it sends a status every 70 minutes. I will check
into it. I am still trying to snag a transmission from the Daytona Casino
in Dayton, NV, think I may just go in and ask for a demo with a RX and
recorder running outside!
Now that you mention it, there is something common to these locations, the
fire dep't is a coincidence. There is the NV50 Roadhouse in Mound House,
they could have the polling type pager system and I do pick the signal up
across the street, it was one place I considered. In Carson City, at the
corner of College Pkwy and Carson St., another recent location, there is
Bully's Sports Bar. In Fallon, there is a Casino across from where I pick
up the signal and little else. I'll have to see what is around the Baskin
Robbins in Carson City.
Thanks for the info. I have an Alinco X2, a tiny little RX I can attach an
ear-bud\speaker from a cell phone to and roam around the casinos with what
looks like a hands-free cellular attachment and see what I hear.
