[Fox_Tango] pooched fan

Hello list...
Well here it is Sunday afternoon and I have a temporary fix for my fried fan
problem...
I tried a "Sprite" muffin fan, and while it worked with my fabricated
bracket, the noise was unbearable... It is what I imagine a tornado to sound
like...
Burlington ham fest to the rescue with a 12vdc CPU cooler... measures 2"
square and fits perfectly in the Yaesu fan housing...(total cost = 3.00)
found 12vdc inside the radio and away I go...
Still looking for the proper motor for the fan, but this will work for the
time being...
As usual, I got lots of good advice from the Fox Tango list... my thanks all
around...
I'm a relative newcomer to the list and have asked a number of questions
that probably have obvious answers, and Im still a bit of a boob with Yaesu
rigs.... couldn't afford one back in the 70's (got 3 now)
