Thanks Dave. I went back online to the fellow Ham I bought this from.
Turns out this was a "hard" failure for this unit. Happened while he was
using it and he couldn't get it going again. That's why he sold the
unit. Next I'll hook up an antenna and a speaker to see if it receives.
I bet that it doesn't because when I switch to external the readout
stablizes. Thinking there's no output from the vfo. That would be an
easy fix!
