Hi Guys! I just took delivery of this unit. I unpacked it and fired it
up. I was shocked to find that the digital counter or display is not
locking to a frequency at all. Particularly, the last 4 digits go
through constant and extreme drift. Sometimes the entire display flashes
which is supposed to indicate the vfo is outside of the band but it
doesn't matter where the vfo is tuned. It may start flashing when the
vfo is tuned to the center of the band. If the display starts flashing
and you move the vfo a few KHz it will cause the display to stop
flashing but after a few moments it may start flashing again. No matter
what you do, the last 4 digits continue to drift at a high rate of
speed. This one has me scratching my head. Anyone been through this with
this receiver before? A little guidance is needed. Even just a few ideas
may help. I have a dual-trace scope and a HP lab-grade freq counter so I
can probably go through the unit with those.
