[Fox_Tango] Final Tubes in the FT 101

The use of GE 6JS6C tubes and attempting to modify the circuitry to make 
them work would be my choice.

Why didn't you look for some "green banded" Japanese or Taiwanese 
tubes.  Service Master (IEC),  Raytheon and believe it or not Radio Shack 
sold tubes of Far East origin.  They all worked as well as the original 
tubes in that series of Yaesu FT101s.

The tubes are a bit pricey now...About $37.00 each, but worth it if you 
don't want the chore of trying to put the square peg in the round hole. :-)

Let me know if you know of anyone who needs the green banded tubes...I have 
six (6) of the Japanese 6JS6C tubes.
