I found my tube manual. The 6LB6 is a quarter inch taller and has 9 pf
more input C and 8 pf more output C, half the feedback C. In a typical
circuit tuned for 10 meters 18 pf more input C may be at the hairy edge
of alignment, may be too much. 16 pf is about the amount total of output
C to tune a 10 meter PA tank with decent Q. Adding that much more could
keep the output from tuning. Then the neutralizing circuit will need to
have a range for smaller capacitance.
It's know that 6146 are repeatable and what the circuit mods are to fit
them.
