Hi Joe,
I've seen the replies and I figure if it was working before then the plug/jumper is there. I have an FT-901 that does this same thing occasionally and can't say that I've nailed it but if I work the heater switch a few times it comes to life. Yaesu's have a reputation for the flip switches getting funky.
Just my thoughts. Good luck.

Somebody actually bought it when it was new and never opened it, and then traded it into Henry Amps in California and I bought it from one of the workers there.

I then turned on the Heater switch and the tubes did not light up nor did I get any signs of life from them.On IC the meter shows no sign of life. Obviously, without the tubes lighting up, I was not surprised. Thinking that I had fried the tubes in the past, although I could not remember doing that, I ordered new tubes and put them in. I flipped the switch and still no life.
