Pete,

The current NEW trade regulations CAN make one run afoul of NEW Federal 
rules and regulations.

Older technology notwithstanding, it has REALLY become a hot button issue.

Export to overseas has caused providers of part to be classified as 
Manufacturer's.  Their export fees have gone from $750 per year to over 
$15,000 per year.

Granted, "most" hams would NOT fall into this GRAY area.  However, the 
pitfalls ARE there!  And they are real.  *IF* the government takes 
interest in you, then you are in for a long haul.

Hence, MANY are backing off from ANY chance in getting burned.

Your particular situation MAY be fine being a "MIL" E-mail address, if 
you are overseas, may make it a wash.  But it is NOT assured.
