I agree Steve.
Nowhere does it say the Seneca is plug and play.
>From the description and posts, I would say it will be easy to restore. Nice
price also.

Let's clear the air - this is the actual description:
A FAIRLY NICE HEATHKIT SENECA TRANSMITTER. IT IS 6 AND 2 METERS, HAS A
FEW SCUFFS, ALSO HAS DOW KEY MOUNTED ON BACK. I HAVE NOT POWERED IT
UP, AND HAVE NO WAY TO TEST SO SOLD AS IS. THANKS FOR LOOKING AND
CHECK MY OTHER ITEMS.
The final cost was the princely sum of $39.95 plus shipping. It
actually does look fairly nice and he clearly states it's untested and
sold as is. I take that as meaning you will be lucky if it works -
prepare for a parts junker. He sold a nice looking box with
components in it - he did not misrepresent, nor did he ever, anywhere,
say it actually worked. I agree with Ron - I have no idea what you
were expecting for that price with that description, but clearly you
did not read the text thoroughly. Assuming otherwise in the face of
an "as is" is a recipe for disaster.
