Have I missed something, or am I just getting old and senile?
Since when do radios for Ham use have to be "Type Accepted"?
Does this mean that I can no longer build something and put it on the air on
the Ham bands?
I am fairly sure that the radios for FRS and GMRS have to be 'type
accepted', but not ham radios.
I am not trying to be a smart ass - just want to know if I have missed
something along the way. . . .

FYI, If you intend to use the radio on both GMRS and ham, the radio
will need to be type accepted for BOTH services. I think that will
limit your choices somewhat.
