That's nothing new Jim, They have had that policy for years. It is a bunch of
crap to try and compensate for their disgruntled employees that damage packages.
Ask to see a copy of their tariff and show you where it requires double box
shipments. I have asked in the past and have never been shown that.
Try FEDX. They now have ground service and are about the same price as UPS. I
have used them a few times. Just walk in with your package. They ask no
questions of how it is packed at all. No hassle. Although they are still not up
to speed on quoting rates though.
