Hi Maiko (and the list) !
Here are more details:
The contest location I am using (next weekend) has a TCP/IP Ethernet
installed where the user access is allowed to use a specified range of IP
adresses:
10.0.0.1 to 10.0.0.16
The contest PC's (Notebooks) are using adresses in this range to network
each other.
According to the manual I installed flexnet and configured a AXIP UDP
connection to 10.0.0.99 port 93
The german windows terminelsoftware paxon www.paxon.de supports hostmode
and flexnet so the connect was very easy and quick to the digipeater via
paxon --> flexnet at same pc ---> digipeater
Unfortunatly the contest software rcklog www.rcklog.de - needs real
telnet via tcp/ip to connect to a cluster via internet or a terminal
controler TNC on one of it's com ports. (WA8DED Hostmode or Terminal Mode).
Now I see two possible solutions:
I am able to simulate the TNC by flexnet "faking the com port connection
or
Having a cluster software that works with flexnet and offers "normal" telnet
via TCP/IP. I think this is something the webcluster guys are doing.
Thanks for looking into this !
73sss
