[FlexNet] 6PACK TXing *garbage* in LONG bursts, ioerrs, lockups ?

Hi John,

The configuration is correct. Everything works. I should clarify
this a bit more. Everything will be working fine (it's only running
on a 386-16) and from *time-to-time* suddenly the TNC will send out
these *long* bursts of garbage instead of normal traffic. This can
last for a minute or in the last case I witnessed it lasted for
10 minutes or more. Finally things returned to normal, and the
ioerr information had incremented several times. The TNC then
continues to function properly (sending and receiving). I'm
actually very pleased with the performance of this setup, it's
pretty cool if you ask me. It's just these sporadic events
that are puzzling me abit.

It's very possible that maybe the TNC itself has an intermittant
problem, making it *temporarily* unavailable to FlexNet. I read
in one of the docs that if the TNC is *unavailable*, the ioerr
will also increment. That *is* a possibility that I will have
to look into as well I suppose.

But should the TNC really be spewing out 10 second garbage
burts (if you hear them, they will sound like regular packet
bursts, except for the 12-13 second tx time, but they are
not decodeable in any trace monitoring the frequency).

In the end, I'm just curious if anyone else has experienced
these types of symptoms like I have here and if so, what they
did to solve the problem. I may wind up upgrading the CPU and
board to a 486-50 or something to see if that fixes things.
