Another update ...
since the S&R Teams have finished their assignments (for the most part),
sooner than expected, mass efforts to provide communications for them
over the next several days is no longer required.
Current communications needs consist of Shelter, EOC, Red Cross,
Salvation Army, Staging Area, and Command Post. This requires about 10
- 12 amateurs per day, and we don't want to ask folks from halfway
across the state to come over for that. Any amateurs who are more
"local" to the area, are certainly needed tomorrow (Monday) morning, to
help relieve those who operated today and overnight. They will be
needed from between 7:30 and 9 AM.
I will not have e-mail access while at the EOC tonight, but those
wishing to sign up for duties tomorrow, can contact the Sarasota EOC on
"Big Stick", 146.730 MHz (PL 100), or 145.130. We will need about 10 -
12 amateurs in Charlotte County. This does not include any assignments
with your local Red Cross or EOC.
Future needs will be re-evaluated on a day to day basis.
