[FLARES] 147.375 QRT till parts are received.

This is a qst about 147.375 in Lakeland.

Per N4KEG, Richard Rexroad, 147.375 will be off the air while parts are
being ordered to correct a bad harmonic problem the machine is having at
this time. He apologies for the incipience, but the parts are on back order
and immediate repair is not available at this moment. Again, this only
offsets
the ARES plan where 147.375 is the BACK UP RPTR.

 Plans to have A UHF net are being looked at and reviewed at this time for
the
wide coverage UHF repeater 444.775 located in South Lakeland. the PL tone
for the machine is 127.3 Hz. If you have UHF capability, Please do a range
to see if you are able to communicate without any trouble. The 775 repeater
also serves as the UHF Skywarn OPS network for Polk, Pasco, Hernando
Sumter Counties, And the Brooksville machine cover Hernando and Citrus.
As for the UHF net this would have the potential to be the Polk County
Turtle
Traffic Net due to the Wide Area Coverage it maintains. Comments are asked
for
to hold a UHF net that is in support for the WCF section as well as the
WCA Area for Skywarn. Again this would be and OPEN NET and
more than likely be a once a month deal for SkyWarn and or NTS Traffic.

For those of you in Polk County, please email me back in a reply to let me
know if you do have UHF equipment
and if you would like to hold a net on UHF. Please this is important not to
just me
but to the amateur radio community at large. If we do not use it, we will
loose it.
