As a follow-up to the Rules for the G0HGA VHF/UHF CW Activity 2010 we were
asked by some members here in the States whether there is a specific area of the
band(s) to look for those participating?

And also whether there is a specific general call so others know you are participating
in the Activity.

An Email from Rob, M0BPT addressed these questions:

Generally, we over here in Europe call out "CQ FISTS" alternately, 1x general cq, 1x cq fists.

As I've pointed out, its not really a contest , just an activity to promote CW on VHF/UHF

I dont know if you guys have set QRG's for your band allocation over there, but here as an
example we use 144.058 on 2m (144.050 being the hailing QRG) 6m 4m and 70cms using
any "authorised QRG"

>From past issues of The Keynote I find FISTS Calling Frequencies are listed as:

	2 Meters - 144.058 MHz

	6 Meters - 50.058 MHz

An ARRL Publication concerning the US Amateur Radio Bands shows:

	6 Meters - 50.0 to 50.1 - CW Only

	2 Meters - 144.0 to 144.1 - CW Only

No "CW Only" frequencies shown for 1.25 Meters ( 222 MHz ) or for 70 cm ( 420 MHz )

There is a general note on the publication reading:

CW operation is permitted throughout all amateur bands
	except for 60 Meters.

So, get set up to operate on the VHF / UHF bands come January 1.
