Fellow FISTS Members:

There is quite a bit of activity on the WARC bands and even 12 Meters seems to be opening up
occasionally.

The G3ZQS WARC Band Challenge is a good way to have fun and work members world-wide.
I would like to see more members send in their score.

To assist in seeing that happen, if you will send me a log of your WARC band QSO's I will be happy
to prepare the submittal to Robert, M0BPT so that your call will be included in the Activity Table of
his monthly "Brasspounder" report.

For the log all that is needed is: QRG Date Time Call FISTS # Grid

You can include contacts with non-members in your log.

If you didn't get the Grid Square from the station you contacted, you can go to QRZ.COM and click on
"Detailed info". Or, I'll determine the grid square for you based on the call of the station you worked.

Here's a sample of my log from my most recent contacts in the WARC Band Challenge:

You get 2 points for each QSO with a FISTS member and 1 point
for each QSO with a non-member - designated "NM"

The score multiplier is the number of "unique" Grid Squares of FISTS members
you worked. In the log above there are seven multipliers:

	DL49, EN34, EN37, DM25, EN43, EN35, IO92

The Score for the period from 3/24/08 to 3/28/08 is:

Total Points X Unique Grids = Score
	       20 7 140

So, send me your log of contacts on the WARC bands and I'll take it from there.

The rules of the G3ZQS WARC Band Challenge are on Page 14 of the Reference
Issue 1 2008 of The Keynote.

If you've not tried the WARC bands, come join us and send me your log of contacts

73, Stan - K4UK
