My dear fellow telegraphers!
I've loaded some sound files for giving examples of different keys sending
Morse code.
Bug sending (recorded by W1YT around 1982)

Cootie key demonstration:

Fast Straight Key sending:

The bug and cootie sending are mine. The bug recording is about 25 years
old.
When I first learned (?) to send on a sideswiper (or cootie key), I finally
made a recording when my "attempts" to send the alphabet and numbers finally
was able to be done without error.
The fast straight key was from a circa 1915 recording on a recording disk
made to teach radiotelegraphy that I found on the web. I had thought the
speed was near 25 wpm, but Gary Bold, ZL1AN and others measured the dots
(time in milliseconds) and found it to be around 23 wpm.
I hope these recordings bring a smile to your lips.
