I earned my TICKET in 1962 at age 15. guess that is why for the past 20 yrs 
i have watched with a growing sadness what has happened. and yes I DO blame 
the arrl for a lot of it. They sold out to the radio companies thinking 
that giving away a ticket would sell radio and mag's well one only has to 
look at the numbers over the years to see that they were wrong. Now it is 
just another cb band what is next ? no test ticket ? CW is the last bastion 
of pride in ham radio and i have to say that the AM boys must be included 
in that bastion.
