If you'd like a QSO with a DX station on the relatively rare Chagos Island
then check out 30 Meters.

Larry, VQ9LA - FISTS # 11671 has been very active on 10.104 MHz in our
mornings - 1130 UTC. He is working
split - generally up 1 or 2.

Also he has been active on 17 Meters as well - generally around 18.080 MHz.

Riley, K4ORD and I have worked him on both 30 and 17 Meters. On April 23,
around 0200 UTC on 10.118 MHz I worked him while running QRP and again with
the Club call W4FCR and with the QCWA Chapter # 202 Special Event Call
WW2DDM. Buddy, W4YE worked him with his call and the Memorial Club call
W5KL and also Riley, K4ORD worked him.

One more contact with a FISTS QSL Bureau Club member and Larry will qualify
for our "Special Achievement" Award.

He will be returning to the states on May 8 for a 5 week vacation in the
States. and will be attending the Dayton Hamvention.

This is an Email I received from him following the April 23 operations.

Hi Stan,
Yes I will be at Dayton.. You will be able to find me at the DX suites
at Crowne Royal. I will also be staying at Crowne Royal.. The only dinner
plan is the Topband Dinner since a lot of Topband guys were worked by me
this year. Also glad to put so many of your friends and you in the Log
book. My Fist Nr is 11671. Also gald to work all the Club calls. Tnx for
all the nice words. I have a lot of pratice with pileups on SSB/RTTY/CW
hihi... Been on the Island since Dec 2002 and QSX is the only way to run a
pileup...I am not quite as serious as the Dxpeditons since every day is
like a Dxpediton for me hihi.

So, if you'd like a QSO with this DXCC entity and get his very nice QSL
card check out 30 Meters for VQ9LA.
