i found something of interest in the mail today then go to thinking as i
recalled the qso. story follows
Someone said we needed to keep up with the times. forget the old stuff the
new digi modes were the future.
oh well guess i must have missed something. NOT !
one day last April i was tuning the bottom on 20 mts and hrd a cq. so i
called the station and he came back to me. i really enjoyed his fist and
the short qso as he was dx and i figured a lot of of the other boys would
like a qso. i listened after i signed with David . a few stations called
and worked him. guess not many on at 1251z so put him on the cluster.
within a min there were tuner uppers all over the place but then again only
a few called him. another spot showed up a few mins later for David more
tuners qrm for about 2 mins as the guys coming on freq loaded their amps .
strange only a few calling him. he was 579 in Ky. man nice fist love the
dot strings. well that was the 21st of april. today i got David's card in
the mail. now i think i know why so many cw guys were tuning up but only a
few called him . they was maybe 4 or 5 guys who called him but never came
back to his reply..
received today David Mak's qsl for our qso his call VR2AJ in the remarks
was "Hi Tony tnx qso & qsl my rig 1956 vibroplex blue racer.. "
guess all the new soundcard softward and keyboard cw just can not copy a
real cw ops bug. what was i using ?
just my old vibroplex 1946 J - 36 bug.
