Hi Nick:

Please suggest practice via CW Communicator. You can practice anywhere 
radio-free. Even better, the display writes what you have been sending so 
you can see what the other guy would have heard. The ham you set me up with 
in Ontario for Code Buddy practice had an excellent fist due to practicing 
and watching what came up in print. And the service is free.
