[Fists] More on Comments

It would be best to say "I support FISTS petition RM-10811", or the same =
with any exception you might wish to mention, i.e. "I SUPPORT FISTS =
petition RM-10811 except for the addition of a 12wpm test for Extra =
class". Not my opinion, just an example of how to word any differences =
you might personally have. Keep it simple, start right out with "I =
SUPPORT" That gets immediate attention. The comments continue to climb, =
but slowly. The word is out. Go for it. When Bill Cross and staff get it =
all piled up, we shall see what happens. That will take a while, but for =
now, promptly spread the word and get a response on the record, and =
encourage your Morse friends to do likewise, the shorter and clearer and =
sooner, the better.=20

ZUT ARC W2ZOJ FISTS 7900 - I did not file with this one :-) The members =
do that.

p.s. If anyone cannot use their own computer to do this, they will be =
getting a card to mail in the next Keynote. Also, they can use any other =
computer to do the filing. Hand them a copy of Nancy's "how to" message, =
and they will do just fine.=20

  Subject: [Fists] More on Comments

I was just looking through the (now 139) comments to the FISTS =
petition for
rulemaking (RM-10811) to see how the comments are going today.

I'm happy to report that, so far, the overwhelming majority of =
comments
  support the petition.

I read with interest the final results of the comments on the NCVEC =
petition
and it was reported that there were X number of comments for the =
petition
and Y number against it with a small percentage of the comments
"undecipherable"....I wondered how that could happen but looking =
through
some of the comments today I noticed a few comments like this:

  "I like Morse Code"

I'm not sure that comment is of much value to someone trying to tally =
the
number "for" or "against" the FISTS petition as one could certainly be
against the petition but still "like" Morse code, etc. My *guess* is =
that
type of comment will be tossed in the "undecipherable pile".

Be sure your opinion of this specific petition (mentioning any other
petition in these comments is worthless) is specific enough to count.
