Stan,
Some people also use OK - which means "all correct" - which is equivalent.
When sending traffic, we use AA - All After, AB- All Before, BN- Between.
In the military - they just would tell you to send the WHOLE message again
if they missed something.
In commercial service, we ran QSK so we just broke the other fellow if
needed. And we just send the first letter of the last word we received
correctly:
THE NAME IS HERE IS STAN REAS - (sending station)
But the copying station gets: THE NAME HEAR IS STANRER so he breaks with
dots or a long dash and then if the other station stops before the end of
REAS he just prompts: S, otherwise he prompts: STANRE and the other
stations starts up again:
STAN (big space this time!) REAS
So to keep it simple - don't send R don't send OK when it isn't well
received!
