I saw an article that the mag Poptronics was now defunct. It used to 
published under the name Popular Electronics. I that rag from the 60's. I was 
always looking at magazines of that sort at the drug store, and wondering if 
I would EVER have some of the equipment shown in mags like that. Any one 
remember some others that were around. Of course the usual ham rags. There 
was also a  Popular Radio I "think". Popular electronics (pretty sure) was 
the one that gave out a spiffy certificate to short wave listeners, and gave 
them a "call". They were  WPE something. i.e. WPE8FAX. This was during my pre 
ham days, so it would have been some where around 1960??? Any others????
