I did not realize that there was an issue of time/location. Of
course, mid-day would certainly not be relevant. But, I have high
levels of SSB QRM on that area near .058, just like everyone else,
and, around this time of night for us (this time, meaning, between
8pm and 10pm local time, here in the Pacific time zone).

I did not realize there was a debate. QRM is QRM. Hard to debate
that. 40 has been and will be for sometime, crowded. Or is the
debate as to whether or not to try and find a clear frequency,
rather than beat it out on .058?

I tend to avoid a lot of QRM and QRN - so I look for frequencies
like 7.112 or 7.120 - and see if I can get in edgewise with
someone. I usually do.

Of course, I also check out 80 and 160. I have dipoles (cloud
warmers) for each.

> Timing is Everything. So is location.

My location sucks. Surround on three sides by mountains. Very
high angle to the ionosphere.

I'm toying with the idea of setting up shop in Ohio, though. Maybe
late in the year. Who knows?

By the way, I just got a bunch of printer ink cartridges in the
mail. Found a place where I could get them for about 2 bucks
each. THEY WORK! I'm filling out some cards. Should have them
out this week.
