Well, the question came to my mind... in two parts:
1) What is the age of those in FISTS (or, what is the range, and
percentages in one age group as compared to another -- or better
said, how many young members exist in FISTS)?
2) What is the age of those now licensed (the FCC is asking for
DOB again, but will not make that info available to the public),
and the percentages in various groups (again, to note the
number/percentage of young ops).
One wonders about CW, age, and years on the radio, etc. -- and if
there is any significance to whatever shows itself in the
percentages and numbers.
I feel that I am a "young geezer" compared with some of the folks
who are calling themselves "old geezer" or "old timer" - and so on.
By the way... I am a "coded" Extra. Maybe not a "mill"-trained
Extra. But I had to do more than the five per minute thing.
