Your FISTS number is permanent. To keep up with the volunteer force which
makes FISTS function, current activities and even members' mug shots, just
go to www.FISTS.ORG . If you want to read the news and inputs from the
members, etc., the dues will get you Keynote. You do fall off the list, as
far as I can tell, and may get listed in Keynote too, if your dues are in
arrears. If you can tolerate that, use the website and this reflector for
info. This is just my opinion. I get Keynote. I can read news from England,
New Zealand etc.there, in most of the issues, as well as "letters to the
editor" and articles from many members, new hams and old-timers alike. You
have both choices with their attendant benefits. The number is yours to keep
and use. But, Nancy correct me if I am wrong, you do fall off the roster if
your dues are in arrears.. and there are benefits to being on that roster.

For the definitive book on learning and using the International Morse Code,
download Bill Pierpont N0HFF's "The Art and Skill of Radio-Telegraphy, 3rd
Revised Edition", from Mike's special download website,
www.qsl.net/n9bor/n0hff.htm . Read it offline in either Word or PDF form,
your choice. Print it too. Also, it is my understanding the printed book
will become available from FISTS, for a reasonable price, in the not too
distant future.

I am sure I am not paid up; have not seen the newsletter
in a looong time, hi. What are the dues, and where should
they be sent -- shows how far out of touch I am.

Have fist # 4563, March '98; not sure if it is valid if dues not
paid, however.
