Just a suggestion we run a ups for each tent. No reason to worry about
generator shut downs. we also keep two generators together if one goes down
we start the other and never miss a beat. Hot fueling is tricky and not
worth the disaster it might cause. We had one of our guys at the fire house
burned badly two years ago during a gas can accident. He spent 3 weeks in
the burn unit.
Off the subject I have had great success running Amsoil synthetic oil in my
generators. they look clean and new inside the crank case after 4-5 years of
hard use. Try adding seafoam additive in generator fuel during the last fill
up before shutting down at the end of field day. Sta built works good too.
