Hi folks,
I decided to do some spring cleaning in my parts cabinet and have some
stuff to give away (yes, for free) to a good home. I have 4 laptops (all
over 5 years old at this point) all completely functional with decent
battery life and loaded with Xubuntu Linux (the distro is Andy's Ham Radio
Linux, so it comes with a ton of opensource Amateur Radio Applications
already loaded). There are two Lenovos (W510 and W520) and two Dells.
These would be great for tinkering around with Linux and getting to learn
the OS and applications, or used for logging in the field.
Caveats:
1. Local Only: I am not going to box and ship them, nor will I drive them
to you.
2. They are as-is: I don't have the bandwidth for tech support on these
things.
3. One per person: I really want to see these go to someone who wants a
spare system to tinker and experiment with, not sit on a table at a hamfest.
4. First Come, First Served: reply back to me, the first four will get them.
I was planning on being at breakfast on Saturday, so that would be a good
opportunity to snag one if you are interested, I'll have them loaded in my
trunk.
