[FCARC] 2m net Wed 18 March 2015

To all - 

   Thanks for the involvment on the FCARC club 2m net on 147.195 - this shows that, unlike what I say
about 'nobody listens to this channel,' that people DO listen to the channel and care to be involved with
the processes that happen here.

   I had a great time as net control, but what makes that great for the net controller is the check-ins - 
more so than just "in-and-out."  Making conversation is what we got our licenses for, and it's really
good to hear what poeple have to say.  No offense to any other net-controllers we've had, nor to the
people that have to be in-and-out, but radio nets are there to be utilized, and all it takes is a little time
and patience on either side of the repeater to make a good net happen.

   AND - it doesn't have to be "net-buster" amounts of check-ins - I expected the normal ten or so, and
got way more than I anticipated, but ten would have been good, too, as long as there was conversation
had and some enjoyment involved on both sides.

   If anyone else wants to try the net control, it's open to all that would like to try - if you need some notes
on what you might want to say, there's a few of us that have a "preamble" that you can use to open the
net, but it's really all about your personality and what you want to make of it - don't treat it like a "job" but
consider it trying to have some fun and make some conversation.  As an attempt to do better on my own,
I will stop by more on Wednesday nights to see what happens.
