Hi folks,
Field Day 2013 is 20 days out and we would like to know who is planning on
setting up to run in the contest, and who is available for setup and tear-down.
Please reply back if you are thinking of stopping out during the weekend to
operate or help.
If you are bringing a rig, let us know what bands and modes you want to run, if
you have a laptop for running the software (I have extra laptops I can bring),
and what rig and antenna system you plan to run. Make sure to bring plenty of
lead line for your antennas and extension cords to tie into the generator.
Please keep in mind we run 100 watts or less to stay in our category/multiplier.
If you are not planning on running the full length of contest, please note
that in your reply.
In years prior we setup a GOTA station, which we would like to do again this
year, we just need a volunteer to run the station. The purpose of GOTA is to
get newly licensed amateurs introduced to contesting, suggestions are welcomed.
I'll try to put out routine updates on where we stand and what our rig count
will be. We ran a 6A last year, and I suspect we will be around the same again
this year.
Last, if anyone has access to the Fulton County Expositor from Thursday, please
save a copy, I was told that our media announcement was printed up in that edition.
