Once again, we will be setting up a club table at the Delta Chicken Fest this
coming weekend, July 11-13. We will be located in the same tent along with EMS
and the Delta Police. Like last year, we will have the portable mast and
tri-band antenna in place for running QSOs. We encourage all club members to
come out and visit or operate the club rig. If you have time on Friday or
Saturday to spend an hour or two at the booth, please reply back to me so we can
pencil people in. The club schedule will be as follows:

Thursday:
- Setup the pneumatic mast after work, probably 6:30pm-7:00pm

Friday:
- 6:00pm - 9:00pm the booth will be on the air. We will be in the same
tent along with Police and E.M.S.
- 10:30pm Fireworks! Delta F.O.E. always puts together a great
   fireworks display, stick around!

Saturday:
- 12:00pm - 9:00pm the booth will be back on the air.

Sunday:
- 12:00pm - 2:00pm the booth will be on the air.
- 1:15pm - report to booth for Parade route assignments
- 2:00pm - 3:00pm Grand Parade traffic control (operating 146.460 FM simplex)

This brings us to the topic of the parade. As before, the Delta Police have
requested assistance with traffic barricades during the Parade. It usually
starts around 2:00pm and runs a couple an hour at the most. Details will be
coming soon, but plan on being at the Club table around 1:00pm for assignments.
If you have the time to assist with this, it would be greatly appreciated.
Please e-mail me back if you think you can help out at the club table or if you
can assist with the Parade route.

I have a time-slot of 6:00pm for the Booth on Friday to open, but we could start
is sooner. I know a lot of people work weekdays, but if you are available and
want to work a late-afternoon time slot on Friday, let me know!

73 for now...
