[FCARC] Club Event: Delta Chicken Festival

It's that time of year again, we are putting up a table/booth at the Delta 
Chicken Festival, July 12-14th.  We will be located in the same tent along with 
EMS and the Delta Police.  Like last year, we will have the portable mast and 
tri-band antenna in place for running QSOs.  Thanks to K8LI, we are registered 
as a special event station with the ARRL.  We encourage all club members to come 
out and visit or operate the club rig.

We will probably run 6:00pm to 9:00pm on Friday, 11:00am to 9:00pm on Saturday, 
and 11:00am to parade time on Sunday.

This brings us to the topic of the parade.  As before, the Delta Police have 
requested assistance with traffic barricades during the Parade.  It usually 
starts around 2:00pm and runs a couple of hours at most.  Details will be coming 
soon, but plan on being at the Club table around 1:00pm for assignments.  If you 
have the time to assist with this, it would be greatly appreciated.  Please 
e-mail me back if you think you can help out at the club table or if you can 
assist with the Parade route.
