Good Morning Fulton County,

Field Day 2012 is 14 days out! I wanted to give you an update on who we've
heard from regarding running stations. So far, we have the following people
running rigs:

Steve Stuart - W8AN - 40/80 CW (but probably CW on all HF bands if no one else
is on them)
Craig Szczublewski - KD8KBU - PSK32/RTTY on any available HF
Brian Chaffins - KC8ZBC - PSK31/RTTY on any available HF
Tom Servos/Brian Beck - KC8UOM/KB8GOM - 10m phone
Bryan Patterson/Dave Pugh - KB8ELG/AB8RC - VHF (6m) phone, HF phone on available
bands
Lindsay Infante/Angela Infante - K8LI/KB2AVN - 40m phone

I have not heard from Donovan Cooley (KC8BJH) yet, but if anyone speaks with him
frequently, please inquire and let me know if he is planning on running his rig
this year. I have also not heard for sure from John Ankney (KG8XG) either, but
I will presume he will be there since he has been there in prior years.

Ben Murray also expressed interest in running, and since he is still recently
licensed as general class, we will probably put him on the G.O.T.A. station
again since his HF rig is not practical to use on the field.

Bill Lampe has also expressed interest in stopping out to try running PSK31, so
I'll probably let him run my rig for a while. And anyone else that wants to try
their hand at digital will be welcome to play as well.

For those setting up stations (except Steve who runs his own logging system),
let me know ASAP if you do not have a WiFi capable laptop for running the
logging utility. I have a few spares and I would like to get them in your hands
before that Saturday. I would like to seriously have a 30 minute workshop on
running the software on the Friday the 22nd at the Field Day location. I
figure many of us will be out to setup antenna systems anytime after 2:00pm on
Friday, so setting a time of 7:00pm to meet at the Woodlot and conduct a quick
workshop seems like it should work. If you are running or plan on helping with
logging, please plan on being there with your laptops (weather permitting of
course).
