[FARReps] 2007 FAR Scholarship Winners

An interesting aside. Mike Volz, W8KAR, who is the prez of the MSU ARC at 
Michigan State University ARC has a vanity call modeled after the MSU Radio 
and Television stations, WKAR FM and TV. At least when I was there. I 
started my 50 year broadcast career at WKAR-TV as they were getting ready to 
start live television broadcastig over the air instead of just making 
kiniscope recordings on January 5, 1954, retiring on August 30, 2004. I'm 
planning on being in Lansing early next month. I may be able to give him a 
call and congrats. The ARC is also on ECHOLINK and in the past I have not 
been able to contact anyone whenever I have tried. I still have friends in 
Lansing after 50+ years.
