DRAFT MINUTES
Meeting of The Foundation for Amateur Radio, Inc.
December 8, 2005

The meeting was held at Fire and Emergency Services building in Landover,
Maryland. Dan Blasberg, KA8YPY, called the meeting to order at 8:05 m.

The November minutes were approved as corrected.

Treasurer, John Chitwood, K3RGB, gave the treasurer's report.  It was
accepted as presented.

AutoCall - William, W3QX, reported on AutoCall.  The February issue's
deadline is December 15.  The issue will emphasis digital communication.

F.A.R. Fest - Dan, KA8YPY, gave the F.A.R. Fest report.  FAR has a contract
of  the 2005 hamfest.  Expenses will go up because we will expand the inside
vendors tables using the main building rather than the building at the top
of the hill.  Many committee positions are filled.  Bill Dobson, N3WD, will
be in charge of both inside and outside vendor sales. Volunteer Coordinator
will be Vichy Gigante, Ka3PVS.  In charge of the web site are Victor
Gigante-Huber, KB3GJF, and John Klim, K3KHK.  We still need a forum
coordinator and a  tailgate ticket coordinator.

New Officers - New officers for the year 2005 will be:
President:  Mary Morris, N4TCI
Executive Vice President: William Hatfield, W3QX
Secretary:  Hugh O'Donnell, W3FUO
Treasurer, John Chitwood,  K3RGB
Appointed Vice President  for Scholarships, Diane Zimmerman, AA3OF
Appointed Vice President for FAR FEST, Dan Blasberg, KA8YPY
Also, Hugh Turnbull - W3ABC who will be handling checks for the Scholarship
Committee is appinted Vice Presdent for Scholarships.

New Business:
MD State Council of REACT Teams, Inc was approved as a new member club of
the foundation.  Ed Brown, KA3ZPE and Morris Brown, KA3ZPE were approved as
trustees for the club.

Announcements:
	Vienna Wireless Hamfest at NVCC in Annandale, March 13


The meeting adjourned at 9:15 p.m.

The location of the next FAR meeting will be held at the Lee Center in
Alexandria, Virginia.
