MINUTES
Meeting of The Foundation for Amateur Radio, Inc.
November 10, 2004

The meeting was held at Lee Center, in Alexandria, Virginia. Dan Blasberg,
KA8YPY, called the meeting to order at 8:04 pm.

The October minutes were approved as corrected.

Treasurer, John Chitwood, K3RGB, gave the treasurer's report.  It was
accepted as presented.

AutoCall - William, W3QX, reported on AutoCall.  The February issue's
deadline is December 15.  766 issues were mailed.  Advertising places needs
to be built.  Indirect distribution for Auto Call was suggested.  One
suggestion was a club order form, like the ARRL order form, with club
getting a payment for subscribers.  No accounting would be necessary on the
club's part.

F.A.R. Fest - Dan, KA8YPY, gave the F.A.R. Fest report.  53 tables are
committed for next year's hamfest.  September 10 and 11 are next year's
dates.  We will use the 4-H Building for vendors.

Nomination Committee - Mary Morris, N4TCI gave the report.  Nominations are:

The slate was accepted unanimously.

New Business:
A working committee on obligations of FAR clubs was formed.  A report will
be presented at the February meeting.  Members of the committee are Dan,
KA8YPY, William, W3QX, Mary, N4TIC, Jeanne, N4ZGI
And Alan, KU4ALA.  The committee will address what we need from the clubs
and what FAR owes the clubs.

Al Waller K3TKJ provides hosts the FAR FEST and FAR web sites.  His ISP is
provided at no cost but he depends on contributions to keep his site up and
running.  It was moved and seconded and passed that FAR sent a $100 check to
QSL.NET, Inc., Mr. Waller's firm.

The meeting adjourned at 9:30 p.m.

The location of the next FAR meeting will be held at the Prince George
County Fire Services Building, in the main auditorium.  The address is 6820
